We recommend that all patients come every one to two years for a basic examination where we review the general health, any complaints, new x-rays are taken and a thorough inspection of all teeth is carried out. Finally, light cleaning or self-care instructions are included. In this way, we can diagnose superficial incipient problems early and prevent more serious caries attacks, diseases of the gums and infections. We recommend at least one annual review for all patients by a dental hygienist to remove plaque and tartar throughout the mouth that can otherwise cause periodontal disease. In e.g. severe trauma or a more serious caries infection, the pulp of the tooth can be affected, so you need to undergo a root canal. The aim is to clean the inside of the tooth under aseptic conditions, remove the nerve and blood vessels and fill it again with a special root filling compound. We use the world-leading DentsplySirona WaveOne Gold system and have the expertise of our own specialist in root canal treatment: Endodontist and Periodontist Jonas Wester.

The obvious alternative to braces is Invisalign. With the help of almost invisible plastic rails, your teeth are slowly moved to the desired position. The splints must be worn around the clock, but can be easily removed in connection with meals or brushing teeth.

The entire treatment is computer controlled and completed virtually before starting the process in the mouth. As a patient, you can participate and influence and design your future smile. When you are satisfied with the plan, you order all the rails and easily change them at home once a week for a new pair. Regular checks ensure that everything goes according to plan.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition where you repeatedly stop breathing during sleep.

Most people who suffer from sleep apnea also snore, but there is a big difference between sleep apnea and snoring. Snoring can be bothersome, but suffering from sleep apnea can be downright life-threatening.

During sleep apnea, the oxygen levels in the blood drop, the carbon dioxide level increases and the heart has difficulty working. Because every time it happens, the brain sends impulses to wake up so that breathing resumes, this leads to never getting a good night's sleep.

We at Kungstanden are certified by Stockholm County Council to diagnose and produce anti-apnea splints. If you suspect that you or someone close to you suffers from sleep apnea, we recommend that you contact your GP for a referral to, for example, Aleris for a sleep investigation. If the sleep examination shows a clear picture of the disease, the anti-apnea treatment is included in the county council tax and is not charged as ordinary dental care.

There are many teeth whitening systems and products such as whitening toothpastes, gels, varnishes, mouthwashes, strips, whitening strips and teeth whitening products that can be purchased from dentists.
